On Wednesday morning, Crisp County Middle School proudly recognized a remarkable group of students as REACH Scholars. These students consistently demonstrated academic promise, resilience, strong character, and unwavering dedication.
The REACH Scholarship (Realizing Educational Achievement Can Happen) is a Georgia-specific, needs-based mentorship and college scholarship program that begins in middle school. Eligible students are selected in the 7th or 8th grade by their local participating school system.
Each of these scholars went through an interview and selection process, and now we celebrate their hard work.
Over the past ten years, the REACH Scholarship Program has awarded an incredible $510,000 to support students across our country, opening doors to higher education and life-changing opportunities. We are grateful to be part of a program that invests so deeply in our young people.
Please join us in congratulating our REACH Scholars! We are so proud of you and excited to see all you will accomplish. An extra special touch was the students' writing thank you letters to Dr. Hope Sowell.
